It Takes A Village

We are dedicated to our community and its residents. Below are some of our thoughts on the Village of Franklin and it’s charm…

My Favorite Day: Franklin Labor Day Roundup and Art in the Village

Today I spent a glorious end of the summer day in my community. Here are my thoughts…

These events offer up some serious end-of-summer fun for families. Head out on Monday, Sept. 3, 2018 to see what’s in store.

The Labor Day Roundup kicks off at 10 a.m. in the city’s downtown area. Here, you will get to experience the Franklin Cider Mill, which has been a staple in the area since 1837. This “family tradition” offers up some fresh apples and apple-based products for sale, including doughnuts and cider.

During the roundup, kids can enjoy pony rides, a Lego city, rock climbing wall and more. There’s a classic car show for the auto enthusiast in your family, plus a pet adoption event if you’re looking to add a furry friend to your family. Shop a bake sale, too, and check out exhibits by the city’s historical society and garden club.

While you’re out and about for the day, be sure to stop by the Village Green to check out the works on display at Fine Art in the Village. This art show is part of the larger event, and features the work of some 75 artists on display and for sale. Works vary from musical performances to displays in photography, sculptures and more.

The Franklin Labor Day Roundup and Fine Art in the Village events happen in downtown Franklin from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. respectively. Admission is free to both events.
